University Psychiatric Hospital VrapčeThe Croatian Psychiatric Association and University Psychiatric Hospital Vrapče are proud to inform you that the Course on Leadership and Professional Skills for Early Career Psychiatrists will be held in Zagreb from 15th to 18th December 2019 and is to be held and directed by Professor Norman Sartorius.
The Course is to be held the third year in a row and our continuing aim is to organize these workshops and lectures in once a year fashion, during the time of Advent. The timing for this Course is chosen due to a particularly beautiful atmosphere and various festivities that Zagreb offers during that time of the year. In fact, Advent in Zagreb has many times been elected as Europe’s Finest Advent Destination.
This Course will aim at developing the participants’ leadership and professional skills. It’s a great opportunity to learn how to make presentations and posters, how to read and write scientific articles, prepare a proposal for a project, produce a curriculum vitae, chair a session and also how to deal with other challenges that young psychiatrists face.
- It is tailored for postgraduate trainees in psychiatry and psychiatrists within 5 years of completion of specialist training
- Participants must be fluent in English language
- The participants will be expected to prepare an oral presentation and a poster for this Course
APPLICATION:
To apply the candidates should submit a curriculum vitae, motivational letter, signed recommendation letter from their institution certifying that they are psychiatry trainee or within 5 years of completion of specialist training, proof of fluency in English language (certificate or senior colleague’s statement that applicant is fluent in English).

Participants are expected to pay € 130 to help with the costs of accommodation and meals which will be provided to the participants by the host organizations.
