Hellenic (greek) Association of Psychiatric Trainees
The Hellenic Psychiatric Trainee Association (HPTA) was founded in 1995 . Through these years the HPTA has successfully organized the EFPT forum in Athens twice (1997,2007).
The Union of Greek Psychiatric Trainees is a section of the Hellenic Psychiatric Association. It is represented by the executive council which consists of a chairman, a sectretary, a treasurer, 3 members and 1 alternate member. Its main activities are the upgrading of psychiatric education in our country in a homogeneous manner,by cooporating with greek specialists in psychiatry and national organizations of similar object and the represantion of the interests and objectives of psychiatric trainees in terms of education and training as well as the represantation of greek psychiatric trainees through this organization to other European and International organizations.
We are taking part in the Exchange Programme of EFPT, providing exchange opportunities in Thessaloniki Psychiatric Hospital and Katerini General Hospital.
