New application deadline for the Course on Leadership and Professional Skills Development led by Prof. N. Sartorius and Prof. Sir G. Thornicroft

The course will aim at developing the participants’ leadership and professional skills. It’s a great opportunity to learn from two of the most prominent and influential psychiatrists on how to make presentations and posters, read and write scientific articles, prepare a proposal for a project, produce a curriculum vitae, chair a session and also how to deal with other challenges that young psychiatrists face.

REQUIREMENTS

The training is tailored for 16 young psychiatrists within 2 years before or 5 years after the end of their specialty training. Participants must be fluent in English language and will be expected to prepare an oral presentation and a poster for the course.

ORGANIZATIONAL DETAILS

Location: Medical University of Vienna, Austria
Accommodation: The organizers will help to find inexpensive accommodations

Course fee for participants (excl. accommodation and travel): 70 €
Special financial support for 3 participants (for Non High-Income Countries – EPA-Country List B+C) with 200 € each for travel and accommodation costs will be offered

To apply please submit by Sunday, 26th May2019 a curriculum vitae, a motivational letter, asigned recommendation letter from your institution certifying that you are a psychiatry trainee or within 5 years after specialization as well as a proof of fluency in English language (certificate or senior colleague’s statement) addressed to Prof. N. Those selected will be notified by Thursday, 30th May 2019 and further details regarding accommodation and arrangements for the course will be provided at that point.
