Vlaamse Vereniging voor Assistenten Psychiatrie (VVAP)

VVAP was founded in 1995 and organised the EFPT Forum in Ghent in 1998. In 2011 VVAP became a section of the senior national psychiatric society (Vlaamse Vereniging voor Assistenten Psychiatrie VVP). Our mainly focus is the representation of trainees and bringing the trainees together. We represent the trainees in several national and local associations and we organise activities to empower trainees. We’ve been organizing a starting weekend for first year trainees for three years now and this year we would have organized our first national trainee day if it weren’t for Covid-19. In the past we organized multiple debates on psychotherapy as a part of education for trainees. We have no own funding, all our funding is organized via the senior national psychiatric association.
