Hellenic Association of Psychiatric Trainees (HAPT)
The Hellenic Association of Psychiatric Trainees (HAPT) was founded in 1995 in Athens as a section of the Hellenic Psychiatric Association. Over the years, HAPT has actively participated in the European Psychiatric training community and has proudly hosted the EFPT Forum twice — in 1997 and 2007.
HAPT is represented by an Executive Council composed of a Chairman, a Secretary, a Treasurer, three members, and one alternate member. Its core mission is to enhance and harmonize psychiatric training in Greece by collaborating with national psychiatric experts and institutions.
The Association consistently participates in national congresses and the organizes educational seminars specifically designed for psychiatric trainees. Furthermore, HAPT represents the interests of Greek psychiatric trainees at a European and international level, primarily through its longstanding engagement with the European Federation of Psychiatric Trainees (EFPT).
